Kids are Smart

My 2-year grandson Sebastian was not eating the food that his father, Chris served him for dinner. Chris  got upset and asked what food he would like to eat and Seb asked for noodles.  Chris cooked 2 minute  noodles for him to eat. Seb still did not make effort to eat for one hour making good excuses and kept dropping his noodles on the floor.
Chris:  "If you keep dropping your noodles on the floor I  will pick it up and feed them to you"
Jacob (4-year old brother):  "Wouldn't that have germs?"
Chris: "Yes, he will eat it if he does not finish his noodles"
Jacob:  "If you do that then, on Tuesday when I go to day care  I will tell teacher Erin that you are feeding Sebastian germs"
Chris and wife started secretly laughing.

Lola's Hat

Lola's Hat
"Lola" is another name for grandma in the Philippines.
Now  I am a Lola and have gorgeous boys age 3 and 2 living in Melbourne, Australia.
When I am with my grandchildren I tried as much as possible to have quality time with them.
What amuses me every time Jacob, the eldest, comes home from daycare,he would say "Lola, I did a drawing for you." "How did you draw me"? I would ask him.  He said " I drew you with a hat"
Then he will show me his scribbles and when I asked him where was I in his scribbles and where was the hat he pointed to me where Lola was and her hat.
Why was Jacob inspired to draw Lola with a hat?  Well, he always see me with a hat especially in winter whether or not I am sleeping.
